Cairo: H.E. Rania Al-Mashat opens MENA edition.

The MENA edition of the Growth Academy opened in Cairo on April 30, 2025, with H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt's Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation. The convening agenda: climate adaptation, digital transformation, and cross-border trade: the three structural questions MENA must answer in the next decade.

Co-hosts: World Bank, University of Chicago, and the Economic Research Forum. Roberta Gatti (WB Chief Economist for MENA) anchored the regional macro session. Country teams from Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco.
